Lutalyse® is an entirely natural prostaglandin product for use in beef and dairy cattle, swine and horses. It is the most-used prostaglandin in the market. In cattle, Lutalyse® is indicated for estrus synchronization, treatment of silent estrus, and treatment of pyometra (chronic edometritis). In swine, it is indicated for parturition induction. For mares, Lutalyse® is indicated for controlling the timing of estrus in estrous cycling mares and clinically anestrous mares that have a corpus luteum.
When used as part of a synchronized breeding program, Lutalyse® helps improve pregnancy rates, reduce cull rates and reduce time for heat detection, and supports more efficient use of labor.
Lutalyse® is the only prostaglandin injection approved for concurrent use with Eazi-Breed™ CIDR® Cattle Inserts in dairy heifers and dairy cows. This ready to use, sterile solution contains prostaglandin in the form of dinoprost tromethamine. Each mL contains 5 mg of dinoprost tromethamine.
Supplied as either a 30 mL or 100 mL bottle. Needles and syringes sold separately. This product requires a veterinarian's prescription for purchase.
