UltraCruz® Equine Appetite Support Supplement for Horses is a balanced formula of prebiotics, probiotics, glutamine and Aspergillus oryzae - a direct-fed microbial that improves feed utilization by breaking down sugar, which increases energy. A healthy horse's body is host to billions of bacteria of varying types and these bacteria are crucial to help keep the horse's gut functioning normally. If these bacteria are unbalanced, the horse may not digest nutrients properly.
Prebiotics are sources of non-digestible, soluble fiber that serve as food for beneficial bacteria in the intestine. Prebiotics, unlike probiotics, do not contain live bacteria and work by providing food for existing bacteria, which supports their growth.
L-Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the body, especially in muscle tissue. Glutamine is involved in more metabolic processes than any other amino acid, including building muscle, repairing intestinal tissue and enhancing the immune system.

I have used UltraCruz® Equine Appetite Support on three different horses now. One was almost three years ago. Didn't matter what we put in front of him he wasn't going to eat. So we started by putting this in a syringe and giving it twice a day. After three days he started to eat (had him on Safe Choice Performance) after a week we could put the powder on his feed. With in a month he had gained all his weight back and was in much better health during his healing process.
Next (photo attached) is a broodmare we got in, she was extremely thin and we started her on the Appetite Booster after our successes with the first one. While she was eating she wasn't eating enough we started her on it and same thing in a few days we noticed a increase in her intake and within a week she was eating twice as much. She is also 24 years old.
Next is my very nice reining Derby gelding. He lost 318 lbs in two and a half weeks. Part of his routine given twice daily is the Appetite Booster. He was not eating anything and we did 3 packets twice a day syringe with his other meds and he started to slowly eat.
