UltraCruz Psyllium Fiber® Supplement for Horses

Horses that graze on sandy ground may ingest sand and dirt that may accumulate in the intestinal tract causing stomach discomfort and digestive issues. Psyllium seed husks combined with water form a gelatinous substance that flows through the horse's intestinal tract, helping to decrease sand and dirt accumulation in the gut. For best results, use UltraCruz Equine Psyllium Fiber ® Supplement for horses as a monthly supplement to aid in the intestinal cleansing and to support normal digestive function in your horse.

Active Ingredients: Per recommended daily dosage (2 scoops or 1 UltraCruz Singles packet; 136 g):

Psyllium Husk: 100 g

I'm looking for a supplement that will soften the manure of a 32 year old pony with melanoma's outside and inside his pooter. The manure needs to be very soft to pass. Would this help to soften his manure?

If this gets fed for 7 days at a time, why are the bags not in increments of 7 servings?

If you are ever concerned about the product expiring, you can always request to have the longest expiration date possible! Is it okay to mix the psyllium powder into a wet mash? I've previously been instructed make a well in the middle of the mash (after it's been mixed) and put the dry psyllium pellets in the well. My horses won't eat the powder, if done that way.

I have an 27 year old who is SUPER FUSSY and just loves these pellets, my other guy eats everything. It was my first purchase from Santa Cruz and I was super impressed with the First Class service even though I only purchased the pellets I was treated like a major buyer. Free shipping was wonderful, plus the pellets come in a wonderful resealable bag, it's a tough bag but it came in a sturdy box plus bubble wrap. So it arrived safe and sound. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better flavor then other Psyllium I have struggled to get my horse to eat any other psyllium supplement and I have tried over 7 different kinds. This is the only supplement I have been able to get him to eat. He isn't 100 per cent wild about it but I add it with his other supplements, what made it a big hit was when I started feeding your coat supplement with it. He gobbles that down. I love the fact that it is pelleted and the flavor is the only one that he will touch. I will continue to buy this from now on. Best product out there in my horses mind. I tried one other pelleted psyllium but it was banana flavored and he hated it.

I had the hardest time getting my horses to eat psyliium husk and i tried a bunch of different brand of pellets on the market (that they wouldnt eat either). Your brand is the first one they actually eat without minding and even wanted more! Adding apple flavor to it is a genius idea. Happy horses and a happy mum. :)

My horses won't eat the more generic products from the feed store (even if mixed with grain) - but they love this product. I board and several of my fellow boarders now use this and swear by it. I also use the coat conditioning supplement and love that as well. Even through he is muddy in the winter he still has a glossy, healthy coat underneath. I usually order the two products in the larger sizes and that qualifies for free shipping. UltraCruz products are all trustworthy and high quality.

I know that my horses are getting the correct amount each and every time. This is a game changer and a time saver, instead of spending an hour or so putting together little baggies (out of a big bag) for each of my mares I simply write each horses name on the individual servings with the date to feed and viola I have peace of mind! The price, quality of ingredients and convenience can't be beat in my opinion.

Other psyllium pellet brands I have used over the many years they have turned up their noses at and left them all in the bottom of the feeders. They clean up all of these ! Their prices on all products cannot be beat. When you have 10 to 15 head the price and quality make a huge difference. The packaging is great on Santa Cruz products with strong Velcro closure so it reseals tightly for storage until the next use. I am so thankful for the day I found Santa Cruz.

When needing to sand clear 7 horses it can get pricey and plus we have a couple picky eaters in the bunch. I decided to try the Ultra Cruz Psyllium and am so glad I did. Not only was the price great but it was super palatable and every single horse cleaned it up. No wasted money with supplements at the bottom of the bucket and not extra additives to get them to finish it off. This will be the only psyllium we will use from now on!
