Indications: Albon® Boluses are effective in the treatment of shipping fever complex and bacterial pneumonia associated with Pasteurella spp. sensitive to sulfadimethoxine; and calf diphtheria and foot rot associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum (Sphaerophorus necrophorus) sensitive to sulfadimethoxine in cattle. These low-dose boluses are rapidly absorbed and contain long-acting sulfonamide.

Dosage and Administration: Administer Albon® Boluses so that the initial dose is equivalent to 25 mg/lb of body weight and each subsequent daily dose is equivalent to 12.5 mg/lb of body weight. Length of treatment will depend on clinical response. In most cases, treatment for 314 days is adequate. Treatment should not be continued beyond 5 days. Dosage Schedule for Cattle: 200-600 lb of body weight: 200 lb animal- First day: 1 bolus. Daily for the following 3-4 days: 1/2 bolus. 400 lb animal- First day: 2 boluses. Daily for the following 3-4 days: 1 bolus. 600 lb animal- First day: 3 boluses. Daily for the following 3-4 days: 1 1/2 boluses.
Storage: Store at Controlled Room Temperature 15°-30°C (59°-86°F)
Caution: Albon® Boluses has a 7 day meat withdrawal and 60 hour milk withdrawal.
