Betadine^® Solution

Betadine Solution, 5% is an antiseptic microbicide containing povidone iodine to prevent bacterial infections. Use for pre-operative prepping of skin and mucous membranes or post-operative application to surgical incisions. Can also be used a emergency antiseptics of minor lacerations, abrasions and burns.

Ingredients: Betadine® Solution contains Povidone-iodine 5% (1% available iodine), Pareth 25-9, purified water, sodium hydroxide.

Indications: Betadine® Solution is a Povidone iodine topical antiseptic bactericide helps reduce bacteria that potentially can cause skin infection. For use as a disinfectant or to prepare the skin prior to surgery.

Dosage and Administration: Clean the operative site prior to surgery. Apply product and allow to dry. May be covered with a bandage.

Caution: Do not use in the eyes or if you are allergic to povidone-iodine or any other ingredient in this preparation. Stop use and consult physician if irritation, sensitization or allergic reaction occurs and lasts for 72 hours. These may be signs of a serious condition. Keep out of reach of children.

Storage: Store at 25°C (77°F); excursions permitted between 15°-30° C (59°-86°F). Store in original container.
