Calf-Guard® helps stimulate a calf's active immunity against two of the most common forms of scours.

Calf-Guard® is for the vaccination of healthy newborn calves and pregnant cows as an aid in the prevention of calf scours (diarrhea) caused by bovine rotavirus and coronavirus. Calf-Guard® may be administered to beef and dairy calves, and should be administered as soon as possible after birth. Vaccination of calves older than 1 day may not be effective. For best results, all calves should be vaccinated.

This bovine vaccine contains a modified live virus (MLV) and requires reconstitution with the included vile of sterile diluent prior to administration. Calf-Guard® should be administered orally to calves. In pregnant cows, Calf-Guard® should be administered intramuscularly in the neck region. Administer 2 doses, 3-6 weeks apart, to cows during late pregnancy. Ideally, the second dose should be administered within 30 days prior to calving. Cows should be revaccinated with 2 doses during each subsequent pregnancy. Do not administer within 21 days before slaughter.

Needles and syringes sold separately.
