Cephalexin Capsules are a canine and feline broad spectrum antibiotic for use as a broad spectrum antibiotic to treat respiratory infections, urinary tract infections and skin and soft tissue infections. Cephalexin is in a group of drugs called cephalosporin antibiotics and is used to fight bacteria in the body. It works by interfering with the bacteria's cell wall formation, causing it to rupture, and killing the bacteria.
Supplied as a bottle containing 100 or 500 capsules at a concentration of either 250 mg or 500 mg. 500 mg is also supplied as a single capsule.
A veterinarian's prescription is required for purchase.
