Chlorhexidine Solution is an antiseptic and antimicrobial disinfectant which provides quick action against a wide range of micro-organisms. This non-toxic, non-irritating agent is especially effective against organisms which commonly infect the skin, such as bacteria, fungi, ringworm and yeast.

Rinse skin area to be disinfected with an ample amount of Chlorhexidine Solution. Wipe away excess and pat dry with a sterile gauze or sponge. For external, animal use only.

Supplied as a 1 gal bottle.

is this effective against virus as well?

This 2% chlorhexidine is the same stuff as HEBICLENS, a 4% concentration. The latter is sold in drugstores for $28 per eight ounces. The product kills germs and viruses within 27 seconds by dissolving their membranes. They just literally explode. The surface area remains sterile up to three hours. Doctors scrub with it before surgery. In fact, the incision area is swabbed with the stuff in orange form. You do not need to use it straight - 2% is an overkill. One to two ounces into one gallon of water will accomplish the same results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Value!I bought this after previously purchasing small bottles from the vet. It is so much more cost effective. This is multipurpose as well, so if you are using it for wounds, you can also use it on surfaces as a disinfectant. This value alone, though, is what is going to keep me coming back. I can't find a better price from a great company anywhere.

It is great to have on hand for emergencies, to treat minor issues, and for general disinfecting purposes. I also like to have some povidone iodine around as well, but this is my go-to.

So much easier to treat the imbelicus of newborns or clean the treats of new moms. With no sting, there is less stress. It is also very inexpensive. I love it.

This product can be difficult to locate in California at times and I am thankful SCA carries it, and that it is also at a great price.
