Help protect your cattle and sheep against major clostridial diseases with one convenient combination vaccine. Bovilis® Covexin® 8 is for the vaccination of healthy cattle and sheep as an aid in the prevention of the following clostridial diseases of cattle and sheep:

  • Blackleg (Clostridium chauvoei)
  • Malignant edema (Cl. septicum)
  • Red water (Cl. haemolyticum)
  • Black disease (Cl. novyi)
  • Tetanus (Cl. tetani)
  • Enterotoxemia and Enteritis (Cl. perfringens types B, C and D)

Although Clostridium perfringens type B is not a significant problem in cattle and sheep living in North America, immunity is provided by the beta toxoid of type C and the epsilon toxoid of type D.

This clostridial combination vaccine contains killed cultures and does not require reconstitution prior to administration. Ultrabac® 8 should be administered subcutaneously to cattle and sheep, with a second dose 4-6 weeks later. Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended. May be administered to pregnant cows and calves nursing pregnant cows. Do not administer within 21 days before slaughter.

Needles and syringes sold separately.
