Cystic ovaries in dairy cattle can significantly affect the profitability of dairy producers.
Ovarian follicular cysts are nonovulated follicles with incomplete luteinization that can lead to irregular estrus and infertility in dairy cattle, therefore negatively impacting dairy herd productivity. Cystorelin® (gonadorelin diacetate tetrahydrate) is a GnRH product approved by the FDA for treatment of cystic ovaries in cattle, and helps your herd conceive and calve on schedule. Historically, cystic ovaries have responded to an exogenous source of luteinizing hormone (LH) such as human chorionic gonadotropin. Cystorelin® (gonadorelin diacetate tetrahydrate) stimulates the release of normal physiological levels of endogenous LH to cause ovulation and luteinization.
Studies have shown Cystorelin® (gonadorelin diacetate tetrahydrate) induced ovulation in an average of 95% of cows. It is approved for intravenous or intramuscular injection only. When used according to label, no meat withdrawal or milk withholding period is required.
Sterile solution requires no mixing. Needles and syringes sold separately. Please note this product requires a veterinarian's prescription for purchase.
