One Shot Ultra® 8 is for the vaccination of healthy beef and dairy cattle as an aid in the prevention of the following diseases of cattle:
- Blackleg (Clostridium chauvoei)
- Malignant edema (Cl. septicum)
- Red water (Cl. haemolyticum)
- Black disease (Cl. novyi)
- Gas gangrene (Cl. sordellii)
- Enterotoxemia and Enteritis (Cl. perfringens types B, C and D)
- Bovine pneumonic pasteurellosis (Mannheimia haemolytica type A1)
Although Clostridium perfringens type B is not a significant problem in cattle living in North America, immunity is provided by the beta toxoid of type C and the epsilon toxoid of type D.
This bovine clostridial combination vaccine contains killed cultures and requires reconstitution with the included sterile diluent prior to administration. One Shot Ultra® 8 should be administered subcutaneously to cattle, with a second dose 4-6 weeks later. Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended. May be administered to beef and dairy cattle of any age, including pregnant cows and calves nursing pregnant cows. Do not administer within 21 days before slaughter.
Supplied as either a 10 or 50 dose bottle. Needles and syringes sold separately.
