So I am confused, do you dose according to horses weight for 5 days . A 1250# horse needs half a tube each day. Correct ?

Asked by: Linda
Hello! For adult horses as a dewormer, one syringe will deworm a 2,500 lb horse and is needed only once. For foals and weanlings it is recommended one syringe for a 1250 lb horse only once. For control of encysted early third stage, late third stage and fourth stage cyathostome larvae, and fourth stage larvae of Strongylus vulgaris, (so an infestation of parasites in the horse) it is recommended for 5 consecutive days to administer one syringe for a 1250 lbs horse per day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the XL horse! The large tube/dose makes this an easy choice for us as most of our horses weigh between 1600-1900 lbs and not having to switch tubes is a huge plus. Our horses don't seem to mind the flavor too much and we are able to easily double dose our youngsters when they need it. Highly recommend to those with drafts and other XL horses!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT PRODUCT !Every year we use this product in our deworming program. I have seen many great results and my vet recommended this product. Horses do not mind the product and they really get the whole dosage easily. In one case, a horse was shipped to my facility and we use this product and I have seen actual removal of parasites.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product, extremely over-pricedGreat product, however extremally over priced and there are alternatives that are just as successful. All of the equine marketed products tend to be this way for the anthelmintics.
