Quest® Gel is the only FDA approved product that treats encysted small strongyles in breeding mares and stallions.
Parasitism in horses can lead to a variety of health issues including organ damage, weight loss, poor growth and respiratory problems. In addition, parasite infestations may contribute to colic, which sometimes results in expensive surgery or even death.
Quest® Gel is an equine dewormer that provides effective treatment and control of the following parasites in horses and ponies:
- Large strongyles
- Small strongyles
- Encysted small strongyles
- Roundworms
- Pinworms
- Hairworms
- Large mouth stomach worms
- Bots
Quest® Gel contains the active ingredient moxidectin, which controls a variety of equine parasites. It is safe for use in all healthy horses, ponies and foals 6 months of age and older, including pregnant mares and breeding stallions. One syringe will treat a 1500 lb horse. Administer orally.
Supplied as a single dose syringe. Quest® Gel does not impact valuable dung beetle populations, which reduce parasite larvae in feces.
To provide horses 6 months of age or older with the additional benefit of tapeworm control, we recommend Quest® Plus Equine Oral Gel.
