Ralgro® Implants for cattle help stimulate weight gain and improve feed efficiency. Ralgro® Implants are provided in round cartridges containing 24 doses. Each dose provides 3 pellets containing 36 mg of the active ingredient zeranol, and doses are the same for heifers, steers, and calves. Zeranol is an anabolic agent, not an estrogen, that stimulates the animal's pituitary gland to produce increased amounts of somatotropin, the animal's own natural growth-promoting agent. Ralgro® Implants increase rate of weight gain in cattle and improve feed conversion of weaned beef calves, growing beef cattle, feedlot steers, and feedlot heifers. Effective for approximately 70 days. Do not use in bulls intended for breeding, or dairy animals. Do not use before 1 month of age or after weaning in breeding heifers. Do not use in calves to be processed for veal. The Ralgro® Implant Gun is one of the most reliable implant devices in the industry. The small needle diameter reduces tissue trauma and increases the likelihood of proper placement, contributing to the effectiveness of the implant.
