Tetanus Toxoid Unconcentrated

Tetanus Toxoid Unconcentrated is a multi-species vaccine for the prevention of Tetanus in healthy horses, cattle, sheep, goats and swine. This product works to help establish an active immunity for prevention against Tetanus. Administer two doses approximately 30 days apart. Protective antibody levels usually occur about two weeks after the second injection of the primary immunization series. Do not vaccinate animals within 21 days before slaughter.

Supplied as either a 50 ml bottle.

Ingredients: Tetanus Toxoid Unconcentrated is prepared by detoxifying tetanus toxin with formaldehyde solution in such a manner as to allow the antigenic properties to remain intact. Contains thimerosal as a preservative.

Indications: Tetanus Toxoid Unconcentrated is for the prevention of tetanus in horses, cattle, sheep, goats and swine.

Dosage and Administration: The toxoid requires three (3) to four (4) weeks to establish an effective level of protection and should be used only in non-emergency instances. Booster injections should be made annually or at the time of injury regardless of interval. Inject intramuscularly as follows: For horses and cattle, at least two (2) doses of 10 mL each. For sheep, goats and swine, two (2) doses of 1 mL each. The interval between doses should be approximately 30 days. Revaccinate all animals retained for breeding and those held beyond the normal marketing period annually. Use the full dose as recommended above.

Store in the dark at 2° to 7°C (35° to 45°F).
