Horses have a delicate digestive system that relies on forage constantly moving through their stomachs. There are various factors that can increase the risk of increased stomach acid including diet, exercise, and stress. The UltraCruz® Equine Gastric Support Supplement for Horses is formulated to contain ingredients to help maintain a normal gastric environment and supply a highly concentrated, comprehensive collection of key probiotics.
Glutamine is an amino acid, which is involved in building and repairing tissue, as well as being a major source of energy for cells in the lining of the gut. During times of stress glutamine levels can diminish rapidly. The addition of this amino acid in the diet it may help in supporting the cells lining the gut and to assist in the stability of mucosal production, a natural defense against stomach acids.
Zinc (Zn) an essential micro-mineral in horses, not only has antioxidant properties but helps in the mucus production in the lining of the G.I. tract.
Magnesium (Mg) and Calcium (Ca) work closely together to help maintain normal stomach pH. This supplement also contains a diverse range of proven microbial strains to help ensure that your horse's needs are met: Enterococcus faecium, Bacillus coagulans, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus plantarum, and Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
