How palatable is this for the horse? Does it have a good flavor for them? My senior mare is extremely fussy. Thank you.

Hello, Our products tend to be well liked by picky eaters and pretty palatable. We have not gotten back much negative feedback, although each horse is different. It does not contain any flavor. Thank you, SCAH Team

Is there 10,000 mg per scoop of Aloe Vera or 28 grams? Just wondering how this compares to straight Aloe Vera juice, I am currently giving my horse 1.5 ounces of Aloe Vera Juice once per day, so if I'm figuring right he'd be getting aprox. 45 grams.

It depends on what aloe vera juice you are using. However, the pelleted form also has dehydrated alfalfa meal, rice bran, soybean oil, and lignin sulfonate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent productI purchased this for the first time a month ago, for an aged pony gelding who was very finiky with normal eating. One week he’d be great, then he would be off feed, hay, etc. and seemed depressed. We had gone the gamut with testing, testing testing..excellent care with a barefoot trimmer, tried all kinds of combinations of foods (mostly to get supplements). Our Barefoot trimmer recommended this product, and it has helped immensely. He is eager to eat, and doesn't miss a crumb..all medicines are eaten up eagerly, and he is happy. I have both of my ponies on it now, and am very pleased with results. Thank you Santa Cruz Animal Health!!

While the jugs were convenient, they had their downsides. The jugs would freeze in the winter and being in a Co-Op situation, I never knew if he was truly getting it in his feed. This supplement was an awesome find and there will be no going back! Since I bag all my horse’s supplements, I no longer have to worry about a missed dose! Thank you Santa Cruz Animal Health!

After taking my horse off your equine aloe vera pellets for a month+-, and no other supp. or work etc. changes, my horse is showing some of his old discomfort signs again. Plan to keep him on your pellets for good now ! :)

I tried taking him off of it and immediately noticed a difference! Right back on it he went! It makes a world of difference in his comfort level!!!

I can really tell a difference in his demeanor and sensitivity under saddle, girthing up, and getting brushed Makes a good combo with magnesium

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Anxious horse with loose stoolsThis is purely anecdotal, but our horse's chiropractor recommended Aloe Vera for our TWH that had 2-3 loose stools a day. We took his advice, and found this form of Aloe Vera to be the most cost effective. We have used it now for about 1.5 months, and for the last 3 weeks, have not found any cow pie poops. We did combine this with a calming supplement as well, and have been very happy with his progress.

All of my horses love the aloe pellets! So much easier to put in a grain bucket or pack with when traveling! Definitely recommend this product!
