UltraCruz® Equine Antioxidant Supplement for Horses

  • Contains Selenium, Vitamin C & Vitamin E
  • Helps scavenge free radicals
  • Supports cellular health
  • Helps decrease the negative effects of oxidative stress

UltraCruz® Equine Antioxidant Supplement for Horses is a potent Selenium, Vitamin C and Vitamin E powder formulation that supports healthy tissues and organs. Competition horses have a high energy demand in order to perform their events, and their muscle cells require a large amount of antioxidants.

Selenium and Vitamin E are key antioxidants that work well together to help regulate free radicals produced during exercise. While Selenium is active within the cell, Vitamin E (d-alpha-Tocopherol Acetate), acts within the cell membrane. Selenium also supports a healthy immune system while providing the horse with necessary muscle and joint support. Vitamin E, a fat-soluble vitamin, has been implicated as a cofactor in glucose production and supports a healthy immune system.

Vitamin C is an antioxidant that works with Vitamin E to protect the tissues of the body, especially those of the respiratory system. Vitamin C also supports production of connective tissues like tendons and ligaments as well as skin, hooves, bones and teeth.

What is an antioxidant?

Antioxidants such as Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Selenium are substances that neutralize free radicals to support healthy tissues and organs on a cellular level. Antioxidant support is recommended for horses subject to rigorous exercise and may help to reduce the negative effects of oxidative stress.

What is a free radical?

Free radicals are highly reactive chemicals with the potential to cause damage to cells. Free radicals can be produced naturally by the body during times of heavy exercise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow!My vet suggested that I put my Filly on this antioxidant due to her new life off the track and spending lots of time in the pasture. I had some blood work done on her and it showed that she could use a little extra care in this department so I went for it. I have to say in a very short amount of time I have noticed a huge difference. She finally shared her coat and her overall demeanor seems far more Healthy and energetic. She is responding very well to the supplement and I see no reason not to keep her on it, but to continue the process thriving horses equals happy owners.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Horses Love it!I was looking for a good antioxidant supplement to support my horses immune system. Most of them have too much artificial flavorings and sweeteners in it. Ultra Cruz Equine Antioxidant Formula was perfect. It does not have anything unnecessary in it and my horses love the taste. They have not been on it long enough yet, but it does seem to be helping them. One of my horses had an infection in his foot and since starting him on it, the infection has improved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picky Eater ApprovedMy horse is a very picky eater and he's had no issue eating this supplement. I like that it is in a pelleted form rather than powder because the powder often sinks to the bottom of the feed bucket and doesn't get eaten. I've been feeding separate vitamin E and vitamin C supplements for years, so I was happy to find a supplement that combined the two.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Antioxidant FormulaI got this for my jumper gelding who has a million allergies so we had to completely re-do his diet. He’s been on this for a couple months now and he looks and feels amazing. He’s somewhat picky and gobbles this up with no issues. Highly recommend this to everyone. I also love how it has quite a bit of Vit. E in it! Cannot go wrong here!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Antioxidants are the thing! In dairy cattle nutrition we use antioxidants to preserve feed stuffs and bind free radicals during Times of stress. For our horses in training using an antioxidant to keep them on their game is essential! This blend is inexpensive for the value it provides and gives us piece of mind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from outstanding productMy horse has trouble every winter when he is off grass and on hay. He also refuses to eat if anything is mixed with his grain. He has been on this product for a month. The pelleted formula mixes without his notice and he is making remarkable improvements!
