Loosen tough dirt and sweep away dust for a clean, smooth finish.
Our UltraCruz® Brush, Dual Fiber for Horses, Cattle, Goats, Sheep and Pigs is one of the most popular Champion brushes. The stiff center features Union fibers and the border features pure Tampico fibers. These bristles work together to provide a medium stiffness and offer the best natural fibers for deep cleaning your horse's coat. A wooden handle ensures a comfortable grip, and the high-quality bristles will not deteriorate.
Tampico fibers are produced in Mexico from the stalk of the Agave plant. They have a soft to medium texture and are off-white in color. Tampico is often dyed and blended to provide the desired effects to a bristle brush. In addition, Tampico is heat, alkali, and acid resistant. The porous fibers absorb water and work in wet or dry conditions. More aggressive than nylon or horsehair, Tampico can be used for removing surface particles and tool marks, dusting, wet scrubbing, cleaning, and spreading liquids.
Union fibers are a mixture of two or more materials – usually Tampico and Palmyra. Palmyra is produced from the base of the leaf stalks of the India Palmyra palm. These bristles have a medium to stiff texture, and are light to dark brown in color.
