What is the shelf life of the chromium yeast? Both pellets and powder, if they are different. I'd like to order larger quantities, but as I'm only feeding one horse, I want to make sure I'll be able to use it while it's still good.

Is this manufactured by an FDA or USDA inspected facility, is it tested for actual chromium levels after manufacturing to ensure it meets product specifications for chromium levels? Is the yeast grown with a chromium source or the two blended together?

Hello, The product is manufactured in a cGMP FDA audited facility. They also have a range of organic certificates that undergo inspections. The facility test for the chromium levels of the product, and we verify the facility by testing 3 initial lots and then one lot/year after the initial testing is completed. Thank you, SCAHealth

Is this just a chromium salt added to yeast or is it naturally bound to yeast compounds through its fermentation process? Please don't repeat the same thing, that this is chromium yeast that doesn't really say if its biologically bound to yeast compounds.

Have always given them supplements containing magnesium and chromium, but it's way less expensive to give this chromium yeast and plain magnesium oxide; I also like that I'm not giving them "extra" ingredients they don't need. They have no issue with the taste--I mix the tiny scoop of yeast plus the mag ox into a cup of soaked/fluffed timothy pellets for each of them, and they hoover it right down. I'm very, very pleased!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My horse looks great.We started this product after recommendation from my horse's chiropractor. We began in April due to him having too much glycogen in his muscles. He was very tight and muscles were looking bulgy. After a short time, he lost some weight and his muscles again looked more normal. He is moving and looking better. I attribute it to this product.We will continue using this supplement. He also eats it without any issue and he is a very picky eater.

All of Santa Cruz products are amazing
