In the hemoglobin molecule, Iron binds to oxygen and carbon dioxide, which allows hemoglobin to transport oxygen from the horse's lungs to muscle tissue and carry carbon dioxide away. Zinc is involved in many enzyme systems in the body, ranging from connective tissue formation and antioxidant protection to carbohydrate metabolism and immune system function. It is most recognized for its role in supporting healthy skin and hooves. Choline is an essential nutrient that is a precursor of acetylcholine (a neurotransmitter). Cobalt is necessary to produce Vitamin B-12, which works with Iron and Copper to support healthy red blood cells.

All of these key ingredients work together to help support energy and stamina in your horse.

What is the difference between your pelleted iron supplement and Red Cell pellets?

Asked by: Cricket
Hello! They are very comparable products and offer the same amount of iron per serving. Our UltraCruz Iron supplement is more cost efficient. We also do not carry the Red Cell pellets.

Is it safe to feed this along with the equine wellness joint formula?

Asked by: Malarkeysmom
Hello! You can feed this safely with the UC Wellness/Joint, however a vet should be consulted whenever attempting to add supplements to a horses diet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Wonders!I am so happy with the results from this product! I have a mare that I barrelrace with who was always just going through the motions but didn't have much drive, energy, or fire. After being on this product for less than a week I received two compliments on how she seemed to be working better and firing out of her corners. In dry work she is not on the muscle but has a work ethic I didn't think I would ever see from her! I was starting to give up hope as far as her being my competitive barrel horse but after starting this product I couldn't be more excited!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Help for older mare with Iron Deficiency (Anemic)I just started using this supplement for my 26 year old QH mare a couple weeks ago. Her bloodwork showed she was anemic and my vet suggested an iron supplement for her. I read the ingredients and reviews for this product and decided to give it a try. So far she seems to have more pep and more alert and happy. I'm hoping she continues to improve, so far, so good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love ThisI bought this product a few weeks ago. Two of our mares have go into training for the AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships in Houston. They are in training six days a week and are doing great. I think this really helps their recovery every day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so goodMy mare has tying up issues so she has a very special diet. When she stopped eating her old grain I had to find something with the same formulation but in pellet form. So far she’s eating her grain with the iron charge and the joint care. Hoping her selenium and vitamin E blood levels come back in her normal range!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Actually works!I had a very sick mare who, as a result, had very low RBC's. My vet recommended an iron supplement. After trying another name brand iron supplement I did some more research and found this one. I fed 2 scoops a day, and before the bag was finished her RBC was back to normal range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another great product at a great price!Easiest way to add iron to the diet. I had a hunch he was low in iron so I tried this out a month. I can’t say whether it helped since I didn’t officially have his levels tested but he seems to be feeling spunkier lately! And definitely gobbles it up!
