UltraCruz® Equine Lysine Supplement for Horses is a formula that helps to improve the quality and availability of protein in the diet, so it can be utilized more efficiently, and is recommended for equine diets low in alfalfa, clover and soy. Lysine for Horses - CD Diamond Foal

Lysine is an essential amino acid found in a wide variety of tissues, hormones, and cells throughout the body. Proteins that require Lysine include the collagens and elastins that make up bone matrix, tendons, skin, and articular cartilage. Keratin protein in hooves and hair also requires lysine. As an essential amino acid often lacking from an equine diet, Lysine supplementation has been shown to support healthy growth.

Hello! The pelleted product contains a minimum of 4,480mg of lysine per day which is 2,240mg per serving. The powdered product contains 5,000mg of lysine per day which is 2,500mg per serving.

Once I started her on the Ultra Cruz Lysine, within a month she has gained so much topline muscle my vet couldn't believe it! Her spine and hip bones are now not sticking out at all as they were. She is now getting muscle definition in her shoulders, forearms, and hind quarters! I also have my 17 yr old paint on this as well. Even though she is still worked regularly, she was losing some muscle tone, this has helped so much and has taken at least 5 years off her appearance! Love this product! It's definitely a must have!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Improved skin condition!Decided to give this a try on one of geldings that is on 24/7 pasture with a ration balancer for his diet. His coat was looking just a bit dull and he had off and on dandruff issues up near his mane. After two weeks of having him on this product, the dandruff issues appear to be completely gone and his coat has a very nice sheen to it. I am pleased with the results and plan to continue keeping him on this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must haveI added Lysine to my horses diet after hearing about some of the benefits and I got all I wanted and more, within the first week my horse was shiny and had better muscle definition. By the end of the month she had lost a little bit of her pot belly and gained some of her topline back. My horses will not go without it!

Not to mention a 12 yr old gelding that just didn't look fit. He looks fantastic! The lysine is palatable and they beg for it! Great product, great service! Getting ready to wean 3 more colts and they will also be eating it as well. Thanks!

My horse readily eats it mixed with her normal grain and I know she getting the amounts she needs! Great product for the price.
