UltraCruz Equine MSM® Supplement for Horses is a natural source of non-metallic sulfur that supports both bone and joint health. Horses in training and competition, as well as those requiring additional joint support, may benefit from this supplement.

MSM is a source of organic sulfur, which is required for a number of functions in the body. It has been shown that MSM helps aid in the health of collagen and cartilage.

Does it contains sodium ?

Hello! In addition to the MSM, the pelleted version contains Dehydrated Alfalfa Meal, Flax Seed (milled), Lignin Sulfonate, Rice Bran, Soybean oil, Calcium Propionate (as a preservative). There may be miniscule amounts of naturally occurring sodium in the inactive ingredients, but there is no added sodium to this supplement

I have had my mare on this product for about a year, and while it's hard to tell if it's made her improve because she's also on other management products for her 21 year old joints, I would think that it's helping at least some. This product used to be offered in the individual paks, in the powder version, which is no longer offered. This is disappointing. My mare will eat the powder, and moving to the pellets just to receive them in paks doesn't make financial sense, so I've switched to the powder in bulk/bags. A little more inconvenient than the individual paks, but I'm too cheap to switch to pellets :-)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far, so good!I was looking for a cheaper alternative to feeding a complete joint supplement and having to spend close to $250 a month to get her the full doses she would need. My friend told me about Santa Cruz Animal Health and I immediately purchased both the MSM and Glucosamine. I purchased one in pelleted form and the other in powder since my horse can be weird about powders. She eats the powder with no problem and so I will most likely switch to the powder form in both. I greatly appreciate being able to provide my horse with the joint support she needs at a fraction of the cost!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Has a pure feel, look, and texture.I received a bag of this (powder/salt form) at the APHA World Show 3 weeks ago. I've been feeding it since the day I got home. I'm impressed with how just...NICE...it feels and stays. I think it's way too soon to know if it has any actual benefits, but I've read the studies and feel like pure MSM is a good supplement choice in general. In short, I can't really tell you what exactly about this one is so much better, but I'm not buying anything from my local TSC this time. I'm purchasing UltraCruz. Oh, and to your marketing team, UC: good job. This is my third UC purchase as a result of your product sponsorships and giveaways at APHA World. So far your product line seems like the real deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product!I'm so glad I found this company! It's inexpensive and the right amount in each scoop! Most Msms have 5,000mg but Santa Cruz is at least 10,000mg per scoop. I read awhile ago that horses need at least 20,000mg for absorption. I feed one scoop twice a day. My OTTB is no longer sounding like a rocking chair. Also my draft has showed no signs of discomfort in her hind end since starting her on this. Great product!

I foxhunt and during the season their bodies can take some serious wear and tear, I really feel like keeping them on this year round helps keep them sounder during the season and recover from any soreness that they may develop.

A friend encouraged me to try MSM, saying that it had helped her elder horse without upsetting his stomach. Voila! My horse's movement became fluid again. As for Santa Cruz AH, they're just perfect. After doing some reading regarding glucosamine & MSM working together, I decided to give it a try. Love that it comes in the big bags as well as the individual packs (which makes traveling a lot easier). In the past I was using various products from different makers. I have since been switching my products to only Santa Cruz - good products, reasonable prices, fast shipping - what more can I say but keep it up Santa Cruz!
