Has anyone used this product on cows? If so, how effective has it been? What is the dilution rate or do you use it as a concentrate?

I have found other essential oil sprays have a very strong smell I can’t tolerate.Is this one have a very strong smell?

Is this safe for cats and dogs, I am feeding ferals and need to protect myself and others in my apartment complex as well as the cats

How long are the bulk refill good after opening? (Trying to decide if can use into next year or just plan for remainder of this year).

For the best longevity of the product you must make sure it is stored in a room temperature area away from sunlight. You must also shake well before each use. Any size of our fly spray should work until it is all used up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hands down, BEST product to keep away deer flies!UltraCruz Equine Natural Fly and Tick Spray for Horses is the ONLY product that we have found actually works and keeps the deer flies away from our horses while trail riding in the Virginia woods. It keeps the other flies and bugs away too, but deer flies in our area seem to be immune to all the major name brand sprays that typically work. Finding UltraCruz Equine Natural Fly and Tick Spray for Horses was a God send for us against these nasty deer flies! Very, very highly recommend. Want to also add that ALL my purchases and dealings with UltraCruz for horse products have been phenomenal. I'm very highly impressed with this company and their products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job!After deciding that the chemical based fly sprays were certainly not beneficial to the health of my 27 yr old thoroughbred gelding I decided to switch to s strictly natural product. After trying at least 4 other other products I purchased UltraCruz natural fly and tick spray. Other natural products resulted in an allergic reaction that caused hair loss as well as the fact that they failed to work after the first hour. The UltrCruz product worked extremely well and did not produce an allergic reaction . I would most definitely purchase this product again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Smell But Poor ProtectionI bought this awhile ago to spray on our barns horses. To be fair we live in a very buggy area near a lake and the flies and mosquitoes are both quite bad. The smell was a surprisingly pleasant minty smell that I quite liked. However, I would spray one side of a horse, walk around and spray the other side, walk back to the first side and flies were already landing on the first side again. Even when nearly soaking the horses the flies seemed to enjoy the minty smell as much as I did and just hung around. Just not strong enough for our area.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Smells nice, not sure how effective it is...Pros: Affordable price Nice scent Sprayer seems durable and continues a nice spray throughout the life of the bottle Cons: Short term effectiveness against flies I love that this fly spray is affordable and smells nice; I wish it worked a bit better against flies. For the price, I'll probably continue to buy it to keep a few bottles on hand as backup as something is better than nothing, but I wouldn't rely on it for great fly control.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so goodI’m hoping this works on my two horses, today I was impressed- very hot and humid evening and I hosed down my guys before turnout. The horse flies were all over them as I knew would be the case. I took my bottle of ultra Cruz and sprayed each one real good all over and under. The horseflies left. I checked on my way out and saw them eating in the pasture with only an occasional tail swishing and no stomping or head throwing from the flies. They were not being bothered by the horseflies and they were still damp from the hosing. This is great if it works this well as I like to rinse them in the evening after a hot sweaty day!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product!!!Recently I was sent a sample of this spray, and I absolutely love the combination of ingredients in it. I've been shopping and experimenting with different natural fly sprays, and this one is the tops. Personally I like to mix it with regular fly spray for maximum effectiveness with the brutal SW Florida summertime bugs, and it seems to really help with mosquitoes. I have a 20+ horse boarding stables and will be highly recommending this product to my clients!

Esme, my 9yr old mare, has been stomping her hooves, swatting and arriving at dinner time with blood spots up and down her legs for about the past 2-3 wks. I replenished my supply of Santa Cruz Animal Health - Equine Natural Fly and Tick Spray for Horses yesterday and went out to the field to spend some time with her. The flies were literally attached to her and viciously biting her legs/back/belly. I gave her a generous covering of the the spray and watched many small flies die/immobilize immediately. Some I had to physically rub off her legs and spray a heavy coat of the fly repellant to keep them away. Just like last summer, this great product will be part of Esme's daily routine. Thanks Santa Cruz!

My mare had an allergic reaction to some kind of bites on her belly and she was miserable with lymph node swelling that had reduced down to hard callused welts. This product not only kept the flies and bugs away but it helped the skin recover really quickly. The oils soothe the dry, irritated skin and she runs to the gate when she sees me coming with the bottle in my hand. It's great in the ears too. It's my go to bug control product for her now.
