Our Skin and Allergy is to help histamine levels and support seasonal allergy. Depending on each horse and the environment it can eliminate the itching and rubbing.

What would the dose be for a small pony/mini

Servings are based on a 1000 lb horse. Half a scoop (14 g) twice daily would be the recommended serving for a 500 lb horse.

My mare suffers extremely from sweet itch. She’s on steroids & Zyrtec. Would this help?

Looking for a supplement with querciten for an older rocky mountain mare with Asthma. I have asthma and find querciten  very effective. Not sure of proper dosage? Most of the testimonials talk about hives, and she has more like "heaves." Thank you

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so good for hivey horse!We're 3 weeks in to using UltraCruz Equine Skin & Allergy. My horse (and every horse in our barn, really) has been getting terrible bug bites and the resulting hives and then rain rot due to a terribly wet year in Western PA. He's still coming in from turnout with a few swollen bug bites each day, but it's no longer turning into hives across his whole body. I no longer have to throw a sheet over him at competitions to hide his baldness :) I'll probably switch over to the Skin & Coat supplement for cooler weather, but plan to keep him on this until the first frost, and will start up again next April before "hives" season kicks in again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needed double barrel aproachMy horse has extreme insect allergies in very hot, humid, buggy Florida. He cannot take steroids (gives him laminitis), and other feed throughs have not helped. This year I ordered Ultra Cruz AND Inside Out and started in February. Unfortunately, the bugs had already eaten hair off of his face by the time I received the supplements, but now they seem to be leaving him alone. I also use a fly sheet until we get into 95 plus temps, and a fly mask year-round. I am hopeful he will have a more peaceful summer and will reorder this supplement for use into the fall. Thank you for having a unique alternative.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I am hopeful!I purchased the 10 lb bag of Santa Cruz Equine Skin & Allergy because I had heard word of mouth that it works. I was giving my Mustang mare Rx allergy medication along with over=the=counter & she was still rubbing her face raw. After I first added the supplement to her allergy regimen, I really did not notice a change & was disappointed. Now that I am getting near the end of the 10 lb bag, I can say that there is a difference, I am starting to cut back on her other allergy meds & the hair is starting to grow back on her face. So I am now more hopeful & plan to continue the supplement. I will update this review accordingly.

After less than a week taking UltraCruz Equine Skin and Allergy Supplement, his hives went away. The hives have not returned, and I couldn't be happier with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for pollen season!I got a few samples of this to try in one of my orders and my gelding ate it so nicely, I thought I'd try the larger size to see what kind of results would happen. My gelding has very sensitive allergies and pollen season is so hard on him. Since putting him on this supplement, I can tell he is feeling and breathing better. I've tried different herbs and supplements before with him and nothing has made a difference. He still has some minor issues, but it is so much better than it was before. My vet even commented on him the last time he was out and I showed him this supplement and he thought it was great and told me to keep him on it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more watery eyesThis is the first time I tried this product on red I was told when I got this horse he was allergic to Alfalfa which I thought was kind of odd he always has runny eyes and runny nose and I've changed his feed a little but also supplemented with the ultra Cruz equine Skin & Allergy this seems to have made a great difference in his eyes and the runny nose he doesn't have it anymore I'm now going to order my second bag and keep him on this product

She has always rubbed on trees, the stall walls and anything that provides a rough surface that gave her temporary relief. After 3 weeks of feeding UltraCruz Equine Skin and Allergy Supplement I am so happy to say that she is no longer itching or welted from bug bites. I actually noticed the results right away, I came back to the website today to order more before we run out and wanted to let others know how great this product is!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hives gone fast!My ranch horse has an issue with seasonal allergies and breaks out in hives, alwsys right before an event of course! I’ve tried this product in a variety of forms over the years and I’ve found that the pellets are the easiest to feed with less waste. And they varnish the hives within a few days and make my horse and me happy, happy, happy! It has become part of this ranch horses daily feed. Plus it makes his coat shiny too.
