UltraCruz® Equine Trace Mineral Supplement for Horses is a source of key ingredients that help support overall horse health. Minerals are essential for muscle contraction, nerve impulse conduction, and proper growth and development. During perspiration, essential minerals such as electrolytes are secreted and must be replaced in order to maintain proper fluid balance. The rapid consumption of minerals in the body depends on conditions such as growth rate and activity level.

Trace Mineral Supplement for Horses - 2 horses running alongside each other

Deficiency can result from supplying minerals at lower than recommended amounts in a horse's diet. In young horses, mineral deficiency during the growing period can cause skeletal abnormalities. All horses require trace minerals, however, performance horses and growing horses may especially benefit from the addition of this high quality supplement to their diet.

Will this provide all minerals needed on a forage based diet?

Hello! While this product is a great source of the Trace Minerals needed for performance, I would recommend looking into the UltraCruz Equine Wellness Supplement instead. That is a more all around supplement with vitamins and minerals.

Can this product be provided free choice in a pasture setting for multiple horses?

Hello there! You can leave it out for free choice feeding, but I would not recommend leaving out the entire bag. Depending on how many horses you can, we recommend you leave out the daily dosing for each horse so that way the product can remain fresh and the horses are getting as close to the daily serving as possible.

Now I get the best grass hay & alfalfa I can buy, add some natural phosphorus foods to balance calcium, and use these trace minerals to fill in any gap. The horses seem as healthy and vigorous as ever, and it has simplified my life.
