Can you feed these garlic flakes to donkeys?

Hello! Yes, this product can be fed to donkeys. Check the dosage amount for your donkey's weight. For equines over 500 lbs feed 2 - 3 scoops once daily. For smaller equines (100 - 500 lbs), feed 1 - 2 scoops once daily.

My gelding got a summer sore in the corner of his mouth the first year we had him so I try to keep as fly-free as possible. It's gets so hot that I can't put fly sheets on them. Rather that invest so much in fly sprays that don't work, I decided to add the Garlic Flakes to their regime. Wow, what a huge difference! The pesky flies have decreased significantly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems to be workingI have been using for about a month now. The flies were really aggressive and covering my mares legs. Now it's seems that I've noticed less blood on her legs from fly bites and fewer flying around. Will continue to use this product. I think prolonged use will get the results I am looking for. Easy to use and resealable lid is nice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It really works!I have an Appendix Thoroughbred that is super sensitive. He is allergic to California and even sees a Dermatologist. It has been such a hassle as he is allergic to most fly sprays (I wish I was joking but it's true). His dermatologist recommended Garlic supplement to help with the flies as well as his susceptibility to fungus. He has been on UltraCruz garlic flakes for 6 months now, I notice less flies and have yet to deal with fungus this winter! I even started my other 3 horses on it because it worked so much!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sometimes 'Old School' Is BestOur red-head QH gelding is super sensitive to flying insects and has been that way for years regardless of where we have lived. Unfortunately his reaction to many products (including sprays) makes this a challenge. We have learned to keep him in a fly mask year round and allowing him free access to his stall with a fan works best. He is miserable and sweats terribly in any type of cover. His neck can resemble lumpy oatmeal mid to late Summer. Our vet has worked with us on many options, but we've had little success. Luckily, our horse doesn't act itchy or out-of-sorts. Over the years, I have talked to people who have had success with garlic as a flying insect deterrent. After researching options, we decided to start him on SCAH's garlic prior to this Summer season. I want to compliment Allison (Animal Health Sales Representative) for her help in getting our horse to eat this product consistently. I have given the garlic a 4 star rating, because I cannot fully review its benefits quite yet. If able, I will report back with our findings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use, works well.We have been using the garlic flakes for almost 2 months. The flakes are a good size and do well in their pelleted feed. We make a mash to help "hide" them and that has helped them to eat all of their portion. It took a while, but we are finally seeing a reduction in persistent fly swarms bothering them. There are still flies that land on them, but it is greatly reduced. I think if we had started before fly season, this would have been more effective. We plan to keep going through fly season and we are eager to see if it continues to reduce the fly landings/bites for our horses.

I have 19 horses on it and it works amazing BUT they changed the size of the flakes and almost none of my horses will eat it. They are way to big. It’s a shame because it works but they don’t like it now.
