Zinc is involved in connective tissue formation, antioxidant protection, carbohydrate metabolism and immune system function. It is most recognized for its role in supporting healthy skin and hooves.

Cobalt is used by intestinal microorganisms to produce Vitamin B12, which works with iron and copper to help form healthy red blood cells to support hoof circulation.

Copper is beneficial for production of connective tissues including tendons, ligaments, cartilage and bone to help aid in normal hoof growth. It is also involved in making iron readily available to the body for blood production, skin and coat pigment, and for proper nerve signaling.

How many mgs of Copper & of Zinc are in this hoof supplement to compare to what my farrier wants my horses on?? PPM measurements do not covert for comparisons. Thank you!

The PPM on this label is calculated by amount in 1 kg of feed and 1 ppm=1 mg/l. This product serving is 32 grams per scoop. It takes 31.25 scoops to make 1000 g of the feed supplement. If we have 1500 ppm minimum, per scoop that would be 1500/31.25= 48 mg of zinc and 450/31.25=14.4 mg of copper per scoop.

When I do the math I get that a 32g serving has minimum 17.7mg Biotin. I find the format of the ingredient list of this product very odd.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've used this product for over 3 years nowStill sticking with the UltraCruz hoof supplement. I tried so many different hoof products over a span of many years but since I've found this one I've been satisfied with quality, results and price. It's no miracle but you won't find a hoof supplement that works better. One of my horses is a retired thoroughbred that was rescued as a neglect case. His hooves were horrible and of course, lots of thoroughbreds have what my vet calls "cardboard" hooves. This supplement is no miracle but his hooves are easily 75% improved. The price is fair when compared to other similar products and with the free shipping I will continue to use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Farrier saw a difference!I've been a big fan of UltraCruz products because I've seen the difference they can make in your horse. So, obviously when my Farrier told me my OTTB needed to be on a supplement for his shelly, thin, hooves, UltraCruz was the first brand I went looking at. I have used their other pelleted supplemental products on my horses and have been very pleased; but I had not tried their hoof supplement before. I have had my OTTB on this for almost a month now and the farrier came out to see him last week and was shocked at how nicely his new growth looks and how much better his feet are doing. He asked what I had been using and I told him about this product, he said he was going to start recommending it to his other clients because he couldn't believe what a difference it made in such a short amount of time. If you have a horse with hoof issues, particularly Thoroughbreds, I highly recommend you give this product a try!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 22 days in and already seeing differenceAnother great product from Santa Cruz AH! My five year old warm blood gained height and weight this year, putting him at nearly 17.2’. The growth spurt put stress on his lower limbs and he got two quarter cracks. I put him on the hoof supplement and I can’t believe the healthy quality of the new hoof growth. I bought another bag to put my older horse on and his feet have also greatly improved. I am pretty hard to please when it comes to supplements, but this stuff really worked well above my expectations!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hoof Supplement that worksWe had a mare that was trimmed and fitted for shoes incorrectly and it caused the heels to collapse. In addition we are in a very wet climate and her hooves were getting too much moisture. We had put her on this hoof supplement in hopes to see quick growth as well as, done other things physically like, keeping her out of the wet grass and applying hoof hardener. Within the 6 weeks our new farrier had noticed a lot of growth and over all healthier feet. He asked what we had done for her and is recommending it to other horse owners with bad feet. We look forward to continuing using this hoof product as well as other Ultra Cruz products to keep our horses healthy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Hoof Supplement at a Reasonable Price!I have tried many hoof supplements for my retired racehorse with thin hoof walls and poor hoof growth. This supplement has all of the ingredients found in more expensive formulas, at a very reasonable price. The single serving packets are a breeze to use - my horse thinks the pellets are a treat, and eats them all up! After a couple of months on this supplement, both my farrier and vet commented on how great Rose looks.

I have been taking care of the outside of his hoof with Keratex (a GREAT product too, by the way), but I needed to find a supplement to improve the hoof integrity from the inside out. After MUCH research on vital ingredients and percentages needed, I decided to try the UltraCruz Equine Advanced Hoof Supplement. I have been using this supplement for about 50 days now and have observed a noticeable difference. The hoof is visibly stronger (cracks/chips are at a minimal; heel is dropping to a better angle), and he's traveling much better. To say the least, I am relieved to have found a product that works, at an awesome price, from a company I love dealing with! Thank you!!

Other competitor's supplements were okay, wouldn't say great. However, when I switched them over to the Advance Hoof Supplement, I started noticing a huge difference in their hooves! My farrier also commented that their feet were so much better! I love the quality of the supplement and the results!
