UltraCruz® Equine Ichthammol for Horses is an emollient for the skin, containing 20% Ichthammol, that can also be used for minor itching and skin irritations, and promote healing of minor wounds. Ichthammol has been shown to promote the healing of a variety of skin ailments in horses such as sores, minor wounds, skin infections and boils. Ichthammol helps draw out infection and pus from open sores and wounds, and it is also useful as a treatment for hoof abscesses.
Due to its versatility in equine wound care, this ointment is a must-have product for any barn or stable. Ichthammol aids in the healing of horse wounds, chaps, skin irritations, boils and abscesses. Ichthammol has an outstanding ability to help heal cuts, scrapes, and rope burns and also helps to maintain a normal inflammatory reaction.
Ichthammol is extremely effective for drawing infection or debris from a wound or hoof. When used as a hoof treatment, Ichthammol can be mixed with Epsom salt to support an increased drawing effect. Ichthammol is also an effective salve in cases of fly bites on ears or around tails, and for the removal of tick infestation on manes and tails.
Do not rub or massage this product into affected areas.
