Valbazen® Suspension is a broad spectrum dewormer for controlling internal parasites of livestock.

Parasite infections of livestock can lead to suppressed appetite, reduced feed intake, weight loss and poor conception rates. Valbazen® Suspension is an oral dewormer suspension approved by the FDA for removal and control of the following internal parasites that may impair the health of cattle and sheep:

  • Liver flukes
  • Tapeworms
  • Stomach worms
  • Intestinal worms
  • Lungworms

In addition, Valbazen® Suspension is approved for the treatment of adult liver flukes in non-lactating goats.

Valbazen® Suspension contains the active ingredient albendazole for effective internal parasite control. This oral dewormer has a 27 day slaughter withdrawal time in cattle, and a 7 day slaughter withdrawal time in sheep and goats. This product should not be administered to female cattle during the first 45 days of pregnancy or for 45 days after removal of bulls. Do not administer to ewes or does during the first 30 days of pregnancy or for 30 days after removal of rams or bucks. Because a withdrawal time in milk has not been established, do not administer Valbazen® Suspension to female dairy cattle of breeding age. Do not use in lactating does.

Supplied as either a 500 mL, 1 L or 5 L bottle. Shake well before using.

Is this given orally? I am looking for an alternative to the pellet type dewormer, as I can never get them to eat it. And how often do I deworm with this, I only have 3 goats and seems like 500ml would last a really long time at 4ml/100lbs

Asked by: jomaz
Yes, this product is given orally with syringe, or dosing gun. Please reach out to your veterinarian for how often you should be deworming. Thank you, SCAH Team

I have 15 chickens so the 500ml bottle will last a decade! Anyone know how long this is good for? I realize they’ll put an expiration date on the bottle just like they do on medication. Medications last way past their expiration dates though, so was wonde

Asked by: JudyC
We do not suggest using this product after the expiration date provided by the manufacturer. Thank you, SCAH Team

Could you please tell me what would be a good substitute wormer for Valbazen for goats. I currently give them Cydectin and Valbazen at the same time when needed and it has been an fantastic combination for the last several years. Thanks so much

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for goats! This is my go to dewormer for my goats when they aren’t pregnant. I love cydectin as well but this gets those nasty tapeworms that cydectin doesn’t get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Valbazen dewormerI use this product for my goats. I use it with Prohibit. I've found the combination works very well. The Valbazen treats any tapeworms along with other common worms that are harmful to the goats, whereas the Prohibit doesn't treat tapeworms. Currently I'm very happy the effects produced in cutting down on the worm population.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not for Early PregnancyValbazen works for goats, but Please do research if you suspect your goat to be pregnant. Have not noticed any negative side effects when using with my herd; I have not given to a pregnant goat. I'm grateful that scahealth carries this product; their pricing is often better than other places.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product best pricePurchased for sheep and goat worming of non pregnant animals. I rotate this in for my area in pacific northwest. Looking forward to doing my own fecal for flocks and herds soon. As far as I can tell with the visual eye, this has managed to keep parasites under control. Good price found here!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needed this in a hurry to de-wormNeeded this in a hurry to de-worm my poor chickens, the package arrived very quickly even with standard shipping. This bottle will last us FOREVER since we are treating such small animals, and was cheaper through this seller than any other suppliers at retail stores.
