Parafilm® M Laboratory Film is an essential laboratory consumable for research, pharmaceutical and medical laboratories. Due to it's flexibility, ductility, malleability, non-toxic and strong self-sealing qualities, Parafilm® is frequently used for covering labware such as beakers, vials, test tubes and items with irregular shapes and surfaces. Parafilm® M Laboratory Sealing Film can stretch up to 200% and return partially to its original size and when heated, it softens to make an adhesive bond between papers, cloths, leathers, and other non-rigid materials. It has excellent resistance to air, other gases, alcohol, common acids, and moderately concentrated alkalies. Parafilm®'s tight seal prevents moisture and volume loss, and does not release due off-gassing vapors from chemical reactions.
